How do I create my Web site?
Just click on the button that says, "Click here to get started." You'll be asked to complete a few questions on the Sign-Up Form, including the selection of your site's sub-domain name (i.e., myname.classroompage.org). If your school or district has purchased a block of sites for its teachers, your supervisor will provide you with an access code and you'll enter that information on this form. When you click "submit," you'll just follow the simple steps to begin building your Web site.

Are there limits to the number of pages I can create for my Web site?
No. Create as many pages as you think are necessary to make your site informative and helpful to your students or their parents. To get some ideas about how to make your site useful and intuitive, check out some of the sample or featured sites to see how others use MyTeacherSite.org.

There are a wide variety of page types, like announcements, assignments, events, calendars, and others that are laid out in many styles that are professionally designed to keep your content organized and easy to navigate. How to I login to my site to make changes or updates?
Login to www.myteachersite.org and type in your username and password (you selected these when you created your account). You will be taken to the basic instruction page. To view your site you can click on the "view" button at the top of your screen. From this screen, you can also add or edit pages, edit your profile, or select a new site skin for your Web site.

How can I change my site's theme (color, design, etc.)?
Once you've logged in to your Web site, you will click on the "My Profile" link on the left side of the page. You then notice the area on the left called "Page Design" and you can easily select a new skin (or color scheme) by clicking on the button for the design you'd like to use. It's that easy!

How do I change my site's name or Web address?
It is not a good idea to change your sub-domain name once you've selected it (because people you've notified of the Web address will no longer be able to find your site if you change it). However, you can do so by clicking on the "My Profile" link once you've logged in and type in the new sub-domain name (do not use spaces in your selected name). There are several main domains to choose from in the dropdown area to the right of your typed in sub-domain. Pick the one you prefer, or if your Web site is being purchased as part of a district or school-wide project, select your school's domain name.

How can I get my password if I've forgotten it?
If you don't remember your password, click on the small question mark next to the login area and complete the request form. We will email the password you selected when you created your account to you.

Information About Us:

Who developed and manages MyTeacherSite.org sites?
School Webmasters developed MyTeacherSite.org to provide teachers an easy-to-use system for Web site creation and maintenance. School Webmasters, founded in February 2003, designs and maintains custom school and district Web sites for hundreds of public, charter, and private schools. While School Webmasters manages all the updates and improvements on its clients' school and district Web sites, we recognized the need for individual teachers and coaches to have Web-based access to their own classroom sites that they could change and update as frequently as desired. The outcome is MyTeacherSite.org-now available at affordable rates to all educators!
